Suti – Virtual Pet Game – Review

Written by

suti_iconThis game for kids is a fun way to let your child know just a little bit about how money really works. The game starts the player off with 3600 coins. Coins are used on “Suti” the pet in which the player is taking care of.

The main purpose of this pet is to take care of it. To do this, coins must be spent on necessities; just like the real world. Suti gets hungry pretty fast which means you have to keep buying food. A single meal is initially 1000-7600 coins. After buying that meal just once, the next purchases on that particular item will be a lesser price starting at just 10 coins. To boost Suti’s hunger points, just simply feed him or her. You can also play with Suti to get more points.

When Suti appears dirty, Suti then gets a bath. When Suti is sick, he or she gets medicine which you first have to pay for. The little thing is so cute to a little kid just like a baby is to a real life mother, making your child want to take care of it. If you allow the app to send you the notifications, with your sound on you will hear a little Suti noise sounding much like a little baby yelp when receiving these notifications. They will read something like “I’m lonely, come back!” or “Lets decorate my room.”

Encouraging the child playing this game to continuously go back to playing it once they’ve already stopped. This can be a con due to the addictiveness. You can watch videos for coins as well. These videos are primarily an advertisement on another application. The apps being advertised are usually interesting to the child watching the video. I’m not gonna lie, I did download a few of them just for fun. So this can be a pro since it keeps your child occupied for as long as you need while you get your priorities done. When Suti is sick, the game only allows you to feed Suti one dosage of medicine. Even if you bought more than one dose, you still can not feed the remaining to Suti until the next time he or she appears ill. This teaches your child to be responsible when taking care of a sick one.

Though this is just a game made for kids, it can be helpful to the development of a child who uses this game. A child using this game will most likely be young enough to still be developing their inner psychological personalities. Therefore the use of this app will have a larger impact on the child than it would if the child was no longer in his or her developmental stages. I see this app as an over all major pro due to its likelihood of teaching young ones some responsibilities they will eventually have to encounter. An advantage to learning these responsibilities at this young age is to help a child understand how their own parents have to take care of them!
